Programme notes:

Tereza Jaďuďová (b. 2001)
Suite for piano – Viki, Op. 15
Written in 2014 (rev. in 2017)

Dedicated to Viktória Beňová, Viki is a deeply personal suite in seven movements that charts an emotional and narrative journey through pivotal themes of memory, love, chaos, hope, and identity. Jaďuďová’s music blends classical forms with cinematic flair and a youthful sincerity, inviting the listener into an intimate sonic autobiography.

Though rooted in pianistic tradition, VIKI speaks in a distinctively modern voice—at times jazzy, turbulent, melancholic, and exuberant. The suite functions as a kind of musical diary, capturing moments from the composer’s life with clarity and imagination.
