Nightly Whiteness, Op. 68
Written in 2025

Nightly Whiteness unfolds as an atmospheric nocturne for solo guitar, its title evoking the quiet radiance of moonlit landscapes. The work opens in hushed tones and develops through fluid rubato and dynamic extremes—from barely audible whispers to moments of forceful resonance.

Jaďuďová explores a wide range of colour and articulation: subtle timbral shifts, percussive effects on the guitar body, and sudden contrasts of register and intensity. The music’s pacing suggests an evolving night scene, where stillness and mystery coexist with flickers of hidden energy.

Gradually subsiding to a final notes, Nightly Whiteness closes in a state of luminous calm, leaving the listener with the sense of a fleeting, dreamlike journey through the night.
