5 Preludes from Gdańsk
Written in 2022-2023

Composed during an Erasmus stay in Gdańsk, Poland, these 5 Preludes for piano form a concise yet varied cycle, each miniature capturing a distinct mood drawn from the composer’s time abroad. While unified by the shared setting and period of creation, the five pieces offer sharply contrasting atmospheres—some introspective, others more dynamic or playful.

Though compact, the Preludes from Gdańsk present “a little world in miniature,” distilling impressions of Baltic into pianistic form.
