For violin, horn, and piano, Jaďuďová’s Нет, почему, я не знаю takes its title from a Russian text, reflecting a mood of introspection and ambiguity. The combination of instruments is unusual, producing a rich palette: the violin offering lyrical lines, the horn adding depth and colour, and the piano providing both harmonic grounding and rhythmic shape.

The work unfolds in a single continuous span, shifting between moments of stillness and passages of marked rhythmic drive. Cantabile sections for the violin are often shadowed by the horn, while the piano alternates between sustained harmonies and more incisive interjections. The interplay between instruments creates a constantly shifting balance of voices, maintaining a dialogue that is at once intimate and dramatic.

The closing section returns to a more restrained tone, the earlier energy dissolving into quiet reflection—leaving the final meaning suspended, as the title suggests.
